However, on Windows 10, many users have noticed strange input lags when playing fullscreen or 3D games. It also has an Xbox app for tracking your gaming social activity and achievements, recording game clips, and streaming from Xbox One. Windows 10 comes with DirectX 12 out-of-the-box and offers performance and graphics enhancements in games with DirectX 12 support. Many gamers switched to Windows 10 due to the new features this operating system offers them. The good news is that I was able to get the App & StarCraft installed after a bit of troubleshooting.RECOMMENDED: Click here to fix Windows issues and optimize system performance It's disheartening Blizzard did not optimize for Windows 10 and from my research it sounds like Windows 8/8.1 also had issues with App so Windows 10 issues we're to be expected I suppose. In the past you would download each game separately but Blizzard created the App to handle this process. Trying the official App client () had the same issues. But, all that really does it download the App with StarCraft images. I was attempting to install StarCraft II through the website using StarCraft-II-Setup-enUS.exe. My screenshots show StarCraft II Wings of Liberty images. Eventually, I did get an error message: 'We're having trouble starting. Waiting for 10+ minutes and it had not moved from 89% so I tried canceling and running as administrator. Finally, when it did move it became stuck at 88% or 89%. 'Installing …' was the only message along with the percentage complete. Then my progress bar did not want to budge. It opens and asks you to select a folder for the files. The installation started normally for me. I wrote these guides to help troubleshoot and hopefully fix the issues. These bugs seem to involve the new operating system and Windows 8/8.1 64-bit users. The launcher for Blizzard games gave me trouble on Windows 10. Installing the App can have it's issues. is available to all software users as a free download for Windows 10 PCs but also without a hitch on Windows 7 and Windows 8. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from console emulators without restrictions.
